LARRY B. BARTSIAS
Larry B. Bartsias, 60, of Duluth, passed away on Friday, July 18, 2014
at Solvay Hospice House.
Larry was born on June 2, 1954 to Jim and Irene (Wood) Bartsias.
He was a 1972 graduate of Denfeld High School and worked
for Fleming Foods for nearly 28 years as well as Miners Inc.
until his illness. Larrys passion was music. He played in several
area bands throughout the years most recently "Tempted Fate".
Larry was quiet and laidback off stage but things changed when
he was performing. "Larrylicious" had tremendous stage
presence and his flamboyant antics never failed to entertain.
To the people who knew him he was loyal, hardworking and kind.
He will be fondly remembered and deeply missed.
He is preceded in death by his father and brother Gary.
Larry is survived by his wife Kelly "Colleen" (DeBoer) Bartsias;
children, Christopher Hanson, Miranda Hanson and Erin
(fianc Justin Dudek) Hanson; grandchildren, Naomi and Connor;
mother Irene; brothers and sisters, Jim (Kathy), Karen (Randy) Nelson,
Sandy (Mark) Vrklan, John (Terri), Jane (Brent) Weegman as well
as many extended family members and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Essentia
Oncology and Radiology staff, Dr. Peter Kebbekus and Solvay
Hospice House.
GATHERING OF FAMILY AND FRIENDS: 2 p.m. until the 3 pm memorial service Friday, July 25, 2014 in Cremation Society of Minnesota 4100 Grand Ave.
Duluth. A reception will follow at Mr. Ds at 5 pm. Services entrusted to
